As part of your regulat maintenance on your car or truck, you should always make sure your belts, filters, and hoses are in good shape. Air Filters

Clean air filters increase engine performance, boost fuel mileage and reduce engine wear. Cars can also come with cabin air filters that are designed to minimize airborne contaminants in the passenger compartment and improve heating/cooling efficiency. Your vehicle also has other filters used to keep fluids clean. When you come to Canton Wear Master you can be sure that we'll check other filters such as fuel and oil filters and let you know if they need to be replaced.

Belts & Hoses

There are a number of belts, pulleys, and hoses that power additional components such as the alternator, water pump, fan, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor and air injection pump. Hoses and steel lines transfer vital fluids such as coolant, brake fluid and fuel throughout the vehicle. After being exposed to the extreme heat produced by daily driving, these parts may crack, rust or leak. So, protect yourself by following the factory maintenance schedule.

Timing belts are toothed, reinforced belts used to drive the camshaft via a sprocket to a crankshaft. They ensure the synchronization of the engine's camshaft, crankshaft and distributor.

Serpentine belts transfer power from the crankshaft to all of the engine accessories. When this single belt breaks, it can cause damage to the engine through overheating, loss of the charging system or loss of power steering.

Coolant hoses are hoses that transfer antifreeze throughout the engine cooling system, including the radiator and the heater core.
